With classical holsters, one uses the trigger finger to release the weapon; the drawstroke may be dangerous even with highly trained users, tragic accidents have been documented where the trigger finger pushes on the release button then naturally tends to stay in motion and as the trigger guard clears the holster, the finger enters the trigger guard during the upward motion and contacts the trigger, with tragic results.
GHOST III uses your thumb in its natural position to release the weapon from the holster. Once you have gripped the pistol, your thumb is in position to push on the release lever allowing the shooter to draw the pistol fast and safely.
